The Kuttabul Camelboks remain the only Australian club on RuckinRugby’s books and what a remarkable club they are. In their first RuckinRugby season they won every single game they played! 100% record in league and cup – and they have started in the same vein this season it would seem with 3 from 3, truly unbeatable.
The Camelboks had a logo but it was a little rough around the edges so I gave it to our graphics guy for a polish, the result was fantastic and we used it throughout the design of the site. The club did have one bespoke service which we coded in, allowing them to view availability of players which seems to have gone down well and has helped their head coach know who is available and if not, – why not.
Most importantly, the website put the Camelboks very firmly on the map. They asked me to get them number 1 in google for ‘Rugby in Mackay’ – the challenge was set. Although not usually a fan of dedicated SEO work I decided to take the challenge and within 3 weeks, they were there and set up on Google maps. It is challenges like this from my clubs that help me learn more about what is important to a club and it helps me going forward as I can offer these services to my other clubs, this is why I have always wanted to build RuckinRugby not just as a service provider, but as a family – a global family of rugby clubs and players.
Kuttabul Camelboks have had particular success when attracting foreign players to come to Australia and play for their club, this for me is fantastic and truly embracing what rugby is all about, it is about a connection that works across all clubs, countries and cultures – the religion that is rugby. love it.
